Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

The Trophy doesn't go on Fakebook, she has an account but just doesn't bother jumping on the Fakebook train on a regular basis.  So when I do something awesome for her, she doesn't update her status and tell everyone in Fakebook land how great her "man" is and how lucky she is to have me, thus making everyone jealous (or a feeble attempt to make everyone jealous).

So yesterday, I surprised her with a grand master plan of making sure she could do whatever she wanted to do for the whole day.  I would take care of the Minions and the Trophy could do what she wanted, she could have slept in, she could have gone out and spent time by herself, anything she wanted.  She chose to go out and spend time by herself and I can't blame her one bit, she needs some quiet alone time after spending that much time with the Minions, plus she is awesome and lets me do my silly Scouting thing.

It all started with the all too familiar knocking on #3's door and that was my cue.  I jumped up and whisked him into the bathroom for his morning routine which is much like mine but without the shower.  After the peeing on the big potty we make our way into the kitchen where I figure I will make breakfast for everyone. I whipped up some pancakes, fried and scrambled eggs and sausage.  Minions 1 and 2 hear the commotion in the kitchen and make their way down for breakfast.  While I am cooking and they are eating I ask them what they want to do today because Mom is getting the day off.

"Let's go bowling!"

"#3 can't lift the ball, so that would only be fun for you guys."

"Let's go apple picking!"

"Hmm, good idea, but the peep freaks have raised the cost of farm stand produce."

"Let's go shopping"

"How are we going to pay for things, with our good looks?  Why don't you guys think of something while I clean up breakfast?"

Their definition of thinking of something to do and playing Nintendo DS must have the same meaning because #1 and #2 immediately dove into playing Mario Kart while #3 cheered them on.  Oh well, it looks like it's going to be a chill out day for us and that is fine with me because I had just participated in some late night activities with some school friends of mine last night so I was sore and tired.  And no, I'm not going to tell you what I did to make myself sore and tired, I took an oath that we would not speak of it for sake of arrest warrants and such.

The Trophy gets up and I tell her the big plan.  She departs after she eats breakfast and it's me and the Minions, who still haven't figured out what they wanted to do.  To make a long story short, I ended up taking the Minions to McDonald's for a treat and then we went to the grocery store to get a few things for the supper I prepared...that was a dumbass thing for me to do yesterday, I forgot there was a storm coming in but thankfully all of the freaks in Hannafords reminded me with their carts full of bottled water and canned goods.

After spending an hour in the grocery store just to get a loaf of artisan bread (I am telling you it's artisan because I am not a doomsday-er who needs bread for the apocalypse), meatloaf mix and a dessert for supper.  We get back home and not long after the Trophy came home from her day of solitude, which surprised me, I thought she would come home later than 2:00 PM.

In tow are multiple bags from Macy's, JC Penny, Lowes and Home Depot.  I gave her the "What the hell is this?" look and she responded with the "I know what I'm doing" look.  She tells me that she bought new bedding for our bedroom.

"OK, so what's the gallon of paint, roller and brushes from Home Depot for?

"Well after I bought the new bedding, I realized that the paint didn't match."

"Oh...and the curtains?", pointing at the Lowes bag.

"Well if you change the color of the room you need to change the curtains."

"Oh, yeah, of course....well what's the new tape measure for?  We have three of those."

"I couldn't find one so I bought a new one so we can measure furniture and locations when we move the room around."

"Who are you and what did you do with my wife?"

This person who, hates it when I mention moving something around to make a room more useful, is reluctant to start a project for fear of not completing it (i.e. our half painted bathroom) and doesn't mind clutter, is now saying that we should rearrange the entire bedroom.  I asked her if she bought carpet to replace the old blue shag carpet (I wish I was joking about that) and she told me she looked and priced it out but didn't want to overload me with a project...gee thanks.

So we started redoing our bedroom at 3:00 PM yesterday afternoon and after some painting, moving of furniture and sprucing up the bedding I have to admit....it looks pretty damn good.  Sometimes I don't know whether to hug and kiss the Trophy or to punch her in the ovaries.  I despise it when she is right about something.
This came out of our bedroom...
I'm hoping to get a bigger TV for letting her do this.
This is what caused all of the troubles, but it looks good.
Sorry for the crappy pictures, these were taken with my archaic BlackBerry last night around 10:00 PM.
